Robert Vaughns is a Creative Project Manager with more than three years of experience, currently running Rob Shoot Still, LLC.

Biography

Hailing from Jordan-era Chicago, Robert Vaughns grew up suffocated by award-winning skyscrapers and bus smog. Unbeknownst to him, his creative clairvoyance, problem-solving skills, and love of writing would not yield results until he transitioned from being a scientist in 2020. During the pandemic, he honed his creative skills to form the design agency Rob Shoot Still, LLC.

Our specialties

  • Most of our projects benefit from Lean Six Sigma’s DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) process. A data-driven quality strategy that improves operations. The letters in the acronym represent the five phases that make up the process, including the tools to use to complete those phases.

  • As marketing strategies have grown and changed, video has become the go-to form of communication. Our relationship with video has permanently shifted from something saved for special occasions to a fundamental part of the digital age. We have an extensive set of equipment and knowledge for your next production.

  • Agile is another tool at our disposal to help clients achieve results. This iterative approach to project management allows us to deliver value to our customers faster and with fewer headaches. Instead of betting everything on a "big bang" launch, an agile process provides results in small and consumable increments.

“When I looked at life through the camera, I felt like I could finally see it.”
― Katherine Howe

The Lesser Arts Foundation

Founder
The Lesser Arts Foundation is a non-profit currently based in Central Ohio. The foundation exists to create a healing space for children through art.

We founded our non-profit in 2015. The Lesser Arts hope to relieve the pressures parents put on their children to join STEM. Rather, broadening their child's horizon to incorporate art or STEAM.

We believe that children of all ages should not have to decide between a career and creativity.

The 48-Hour Film Project

Boom Operator | Sound Engineer | Production Assistant
The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie - write, shoot, and edit - in just 48 hours.

On Friday night, teams draw a genre from a hat. They are then given a character, prop and line to include in their films. On Sunday night, in a wild dash to the drop-off event, the film is turned in - and teams celebrate. The film is then screened at a local theater in front of an audience of filmmakers, friends, and families.

Professional History

Project & Product Management Summary
For over a decade, Robert committed himself to the pursuit of science in a quandary of fields. Getting his start in the pharmacy industry, he quickly maneuvered into pharmaceutical compounding and inorganic batch testing. Working for a myriad of Fortune 500 companies, it wasn't until starting his own business, did he find the freedom, creativity, and autonomy promised by corporate America.

Robert periodically consults as a project manager for companies when not traveling, creating art, or volunteering.
